Financing service dogs often is necessary because custom-trained service dogs are expensive. Training a reliable service dog takes a long time and an extensive skill set. Service dog trainers spent a lot of time and money building their skills. As a result, they are highly sought after. Many service dog trainers have waiting lists.
Custom service dog cost anywhere between $20,000 to $60,000. And many people, who need a service dog, can't afford one easily. Military veterans have many support organizations helping with service dog financing. But civilian help is scarce. Therefore, we always look for partners to support you in getting your service dog. We offer (or support) the following service dog financing options:
Total K9 Focus: Installment Plan
We offer payment plans for qualifying customers. We will run a background and credit check to assess if you qualify for our internal service dog financing option. The non-refundable cost is $150. If you qualify, we will allow you to pay for your service dog with monthly installments during the training program duration. This installment plan consists of an initial down payment of $5,000 and a 5% payment plan fee with each payment. Monthly payments are automatically charged to your credit card or through PayPal.
For example, your total service dog price is $41,000 and the estimated training duration is 18 months. You would make an initial down payment of $5,000 at the beginning of the program and then pay the remaining balance off over the 18 months program duration. In this example that would be $41,000 - $5,000 = $36,000 / 18 months = $2,000 per months + 5% = $2,100 per month (service dog financing charge).
If you qualify and choose this option, the dog will remain our property or collateral (depending on who bought the dog) until the entire contract is paid in full.
