Reliability in public is one of the most important attributes of a service dog. Their expected good behavior is what allows us to take them into stores, restaurants, doctor’s offfices and so on. Service dogs are allowed where pets are not. For this reason, it is vital to take the public access obedience aspect of service dog training seriously.

In this self-study course, you learn how to train reliable public access obedience. You learn how to set the foundation for your dog to provide support when you need it the most.

This is not a simplistic, silly obedience course created by some low-level trainers looking to make a quick buck. This advanced course creates top-level, highly reliable and dependable performance typically only found in professional sport and working dogs. Sarah and Ralf are very experienced and highly skilled professional dog trainers who train some of the most reliable and sought after service dogs in the country. The performance level you see in the demonstration video is possible for you if you follow this program.

This well-structured course takes you step-by-step through the process of training reliable public access obedience. This course is primarily designed for:

  • Disabled people training their own service dog. Every training step is demonstrated and taught both from the perspective of an abled-body person and a disabled person.
  • Family members or friends of disabled people helping their partner or friend with training their own service dog.
  • Service dog teams who need to improve their public access obedience. For example, program dogs whose public access is below standard.
  • Anyone, who wants to learn how to train a dog to professional obedience standards.
